Common Questions

Before you arrive

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend 4-6 weeks for weekday stays and 8-12 weeks for weekends. Winter availability is more open — sometimes we have last-minute openings when the snow comes.

Is this family-friendly?

We welcome families with children 12 and older. The trails and experiences are designed for those who can comfortably hike 2+ miles. For younger families, we recommend our summer family weekends in July.

What's included in a stay?

Your cabin, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), non-alcoholic beverages, yoga sessions, and access to the sauna and trails. Guided adventures and bodywork are available for an additional fee.

Is there cell service?

Minimal. You'll get a bar or two on the porch of your cabin. We have Wi-Fi in the main lodge for emergencies. We consider the limited connectivity a feature, not a bug.

How do I get there?

Fly into Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), 45 minutes from the retreat. We provide detailed driving directions after booking. The last 3 miles are on a gravel forest road — part of the arrival experience.

Getting here is part of getting away

The last stretch of road is unpaved. The trees close in. Your phone signal fades. By the time you park, you've already started to arrive in a different way. That's by design.
